Comparison

This blog is not due until April 24th at 4pm but you can get a head start!

You need to compare and contrast two countries' cuisines. These countries should be ones that we have talked about in Foods class already. You must include 2 sentences about each country that you are writing about.

This will be the last blog available! Make sure that you complete all previous posts by April 24th at 7pm for half credit.

The blog postings will be worth a total of 75 points (not the original 100 points).

Greece

For this blog, you will need to find one Greek dish. In order to receive credit for this blog, you must describe the dish in at least 2 sentence. DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THE RECIPE IN!

International Projects

You have all completed your international research projects. For this blog post, I want you to explain to everyone else 3 things that you learned about your country that you found interesting. At least one of these interesting facts needs to be about food but the other two can be about anything related to your country. Make sure that you tell us what your country is! You should complete this post by Monday, April 6th at 4:00.

Germany / Poland

Complete the following blog by Friday, March 13. Each blog must be at least 4 sentences. You will not receive credit if your blog is less than 4 complete sentences. Choose any of the questions below: You can answer one with 4 sentences or 2 with 2 sentences each, etc.

1. Research the history of Germany. How does that history influence their cuisine today?

2. Describe one famous dish in Poland. Explain the ingredients in this dish if there are any that are not used in the United States. DO NOT copy and paste a recipe here. You need to explain the recipe.

3. If you have ever been to Germany or Poland, explain some of the food that you ate there.

British Isles

Each of your posts must include at least 4 sentences. You can answer one question with 4 sentences or answer all questions with a few sentences each but your total needs to equal 4 full sentences. This post must be made by Friday, Feb. 27 at 4pm.

1. Research a traditional English meal. Describe the ingredients, how to make the dish, and any special significance regarding that meal.

2. Discuss England's geography and how it relates to what they eat.

3. Compare and contrast staple foods in the United States and staple foods in the British Isles. Are there similar foods that most families always have in their pantries or refrigerators in both countries?

4. If you have visited any of the countries in the British Isles, name some foods that you ate there that you cannot get in the United States. Describe any culinary experiences you had while on vacation.
